Early 19th century hardcover book containing a large collection of hand colored aquatint etchings from "Picturesque Scenery of the Holy Land & Syria, Delineated During the Campaigns of 1799 and 1800," depicting works sketched on the scene by Francis B. Spilsbury, redrawn in London by Daniel Orme, and etched in aquatint by Joseph Constantine Stadler. Printed in London by B. R. Howlett, 1819. 19 Color plates. Provenance: Phyllis Lucas Gallery, NYC. [Book: 19 1/2" H x 14" W]. Pages with some toning and handling wear, otherwise good condition.
