A vintage metal figurine Kotoko Sao horse rider with leather Chad Central Africa. The figurine of a rider with a horse, so called Putchu Guinadji, is leather wrapped and is completely woven with each other. The Putchu Guinadji are metal statues of a horse and rider, originating from the Kotoko people of Chad. It is believed that, if properly activated by special ritual, these statues help relieve or diminish madness by fighting the demons they believed to cause it.
