John Bauer (American b. 1951), Butterfly Chair, second half 20th century, carved, stacked, and laminated mixed wood studio craft arm chair featuring sculptural arms and legs, an inlaid butterfly to front, and female figure to upper back, apparently unmarked.

h. 43.5", w. 32", d. 22.25".

Provenance:
Private Collection of Bill Stewart, Atlanta, GA.

Condition

Structurally stable, scattered surface wear including scratches, scuffs, dents, laminate loss, several dryness cracks, and small chip to left front of seat.
