Originating as a 19th-century Calcutta folk art form, Kalighat paintings were crafted for the tourist trade, with dimensions of 14.5'' x 10'' (37 x 25 cm) for the sight and 21.5'' x 17'' (55 x 43 cm) inclusive of the frame.
