A Sheraton side chair in original paint, decorated with flowers and leaves, early 19th century. The original seat has been replaced with faux rush - overall good condition. Measures 15 1/2"W x 15"D x 34 3/4" x 16 3/4" seat height. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
