Description
Grouping of 13 glass collectibles including: Blue glass "Harden's Hand Grenade Fire Extinguisher No. 1" - last patent date Aug. 14, 1883 - no fluid - chips around edge of perimeter, else good condition; maple syrup bottle with embossed tree on 1 side - other side marked "Adirondack Mt's Virgin Forest / Horse Shoe Forestry Co. / Horse Shoe / St. Lawrence Co. N.Y."; grape shaped bottle - missing cap (currently holding an unknown liquid); "The Sea Side Nurser" bottle; a shaped bottle, traces of original paint with cap; a colorless flask with leather traveling case - the bottle etched with DRMS scale 0-12; a green bottle signed "Larkin Soap Co. Buffalo" - top is frozen in place and cannot be removed; an amethyst colored ink bottle - small chip on rim; a solid green glass stopper in the form of an Art Deco lady; a green ink bottle with pen holder marked "Made in Spain"; a dark green seated cat ornament; a colorless shoe form bottle - 4"L; and a cup plate marked "The Wedding Day and Three Weeks After" - unsure of age of cup plate. Most in good condition. The largest, the fire extinguisher, measures 6"H x 4"W. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
