Dressing table used in Norman Rockwell's illustration for a March 21, 1942 Saturday Evening Post cover, titled "Secrets (boy reading sister's diary)" in white paint with shaped mirror top, signed "Sieling Furniture Co., Railroad Pa." -circa 1940. One of the glass pulls is loose from drawer, small veneer chip on side, else good condition. Measures 40"W x 19 3/4"D x 31"H. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
