Alice Barber, American 1858-1932. A lovely pen and ink illustration of girl seated in wicker rocker holding her large doll, signed Alice Barber. Professional framed and matted. Slight white ink mark on girl's right hand, slight stain bottom right corner hardly noticeable, else in very good condition. Total frame size 12 1/2" x 12 7/8". Late 19th century. Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
