Description
A very fine mahogany secretaire a abattant - or fall-front secretary, decorated throughout with inlaid Classical motifs, including urns, rope swags and ribbons; the front panels adorned with a charioteer and two lyres framed by scrolling acanthus leaves. Keys included. Dimensions: (Closed) H 59.75" x W 40.5" x D 18.5" Condition: Presents very well overall. Previously refinished, with repaired stress cracks and repaired panel separation - as well as cracks and repairs to the veneer - throughout. One split and chip to top edge at back left corner.
