Description

A vintage Newport model brass nautical maritime aneroid ship's barometer by Chelsea Clock Co. of Boston. Features a cylindrical brass body with a white enamel Arabic numeral face behind a glass covered screw cap door. Stamped to face with CHELSEA NEWPORT MADE IN USA with calibrations for inches, centimeters, and millibars. Presented with a fitted wood base. Barometer measures approximately 5.5" x 5.5" x 2.5". Base measures approximately 3.75" x 8" x 2.75". Provenance; a private collection.

Dimensions: 6.5 X 8 X 2.75 in.

Condition: Good overall condition having mild age related surface wear with evidence of patina. Untested and may require winding, service, parts, and/or repair. Base having moderate wear to edges and corners. Estate fresh to the market.
