An Old Florida style wetlands featuring a central flowering jacaranda tree with a profusion of purple blossoms, surrounded by water and additional naturalistic elements. Artist signed and dated 1989 to lower right. The artist was a follower of and brother in law to the Florida Highwayman Albert E. "Beanie" Backus. Presented with a fabric fillet border in a carved wood gallery frame. Provenance; a private collection.
