Editor William Lloyd Garrison includes a letter he wrote to the publisher, dated 22 June 1836, regarding a recent abolitionist-opposing bill submitted to the Rhode Island Legislature. -- And the 24 November 1883 issue of Harper's Weekly featuring a portrait of Frederick Douglass that consumes the entirety of the front page. -- Together, 3 publications.
