Norman Rockwell poster (American, 1894-1978) - Unused advertisement for Pan American Airlines - Karachi Pakistan - measures 23 3/4" x 30" (print and mat the same size). The original oil on board, circa 1956, with annotated mat sold at Heritage Auctions on October 13, 2012. The original painting also with annotated mat is listed as A636 in "Norman Rockwell: A Definitive Catalogue" by Laurie Norton Moffatt (The Norman Rockwell Museum) - see photo of this page. Very interesting that this print has the same annotations on mat in black ink, as the original painting, presumably written by Mr. Rockwell or one of his associates. Note also the embossed signature on the bottom right corner. Found in an outbuilding on the Thomas Rockwell property in Lagrangeville NY.
