Description
Central Asia, Afghanistan, Bactria / Gandharan period, ca. 1st to 5th century CE. A lovely necklace comprised of rectangular and smaller barrel shaped blue glass beads, strung with over 100 ancient beads on triple strands. A few have applied colored glass nodules in orange, yellow, white, and red. This necklace is wearable and strung in modern times on wire with a gold-plated lobster clasp. A lovely piece for casual and more elegant occasions. Size of strand: 18" L (45.7 cm); beads: 0.5" L x 0.2" W (1.3 cm x 0.5 cm)
