Attributed to David Wojnarowicz, American, 1954 to 1992, a sculpture made of collaged paper and acrylic on cast plaster titled Head, from the Metamorphosis series, 1984. Signed, dated, and inscribed, NYC, on the backside and on the bottom. David Michael Wojnarowicz was a painter, photographer, writer, filmmaker, performance artist, songwriter and recording artist, and AIDS activist prominent in the East Village art scene.
