Description
Three Antique Meiji Cloisonne Vases, comprising a pair of of baluster form vases and a low shouldered vase with slender tapering neck,finely crafted with polychrome dragon motifs. The black ground recalls the rich surface of lacquer, another traditional Japanese art form. The dragon swirls around the neck and shoulders of the vase with tall, slender neck. Their forms are intricately defined with fine gold wire;the cells are filled with enamels colored green, red, white and yellow. The tall-necked vase bears a stamp on the base.

Condition
Each baluster form vase with a repaired damage; one with a dime sized repair under the 1st claw of the dragon in the black ground, the other with a small repair in the black ground in between the 2nd and 3rd claw of the dragon. Third vase with a 1 x 2 in. repair to black ground below the shoulder of the vase mid-dragon.
