RARE OLD LARGE JEWISH DOCTOR FIGURINE of ANRI ART CARVED WOOD
This is a Jewish art figurine depicting a figure dressed as a doctor. It is a folk art piece carved from wood, an Anri figurine of a therapist. What makes this item particularly important is the presence of Anri's label, attesting to its authenticity. The craftsmanship is exceptional, with intricate and realistic detailing. HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, Anri art figurines were sold on eBay for $2,486, and $2,499 - please refer to the screenshots for details. Today, prices have significantly increased compared to those of 5-10 years ago.
WARRANTY: The buyer has 5 days to inspect items for originality, valued at up to $5,000, and 10 days for items valued at $5,000 or more. Items can be returned to the seller for a refund; please refer to the Terms for more details.
NO RESERVE: More than 70% of all auctioned items have NO reserve price. Among the remaining items, there is a very reasonable reserve price set.

HISTORY: It all began in the late 19th century when Alois Riffeser traveled to the major European cities to sell the wood carved figurines and toys which were bought from the farmers of the Groden Valley located in the Dolomite region of the Alps. This area in South Tyrol was part of Austria-Hungary at the time until being annexed to Italy in 1919. In 1912 Josef Anton Riffeser founded the ANRI Company, which he named using the first two letters of his first and last name. After World War I, where he was in a prisoner of war camp in Siberia, he formulated his plan for a woodcarving company. He created his own models which he distributed successfully, mainly in the Alpine region. When Anton Adolf Riffeser took over in 1945, he transformed the ANRI company, adopting a more industrial model which allowed for better quality control and distribution to new markets.
