**Originally Listed At $400**

Near East / Egypt, Mamluk period, ca. 12th to 14th century CE. A large textile fragment from a woven linen/cotton panel with a second textile register made from brightly dyed silk with an intricate pattern, mounted in a modern wood and glass frame. The register of silk threads is a separate applique sewn to the linen panel and contains abstracted arabesque medallions and abstract birds. Size of textile: 10" L x 7.5" W (25.4 cm x 19 cm); frame: 14.5" L x 11.25" W (36.8 cm x 28.6 cm)
