Anthracite recovered from the North Atlantic Ocean from the scene of the Titanic shipwreck. In 1993, 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000, RMS Titanic Inc. carried out an intensive series of dives that led to the recovery of over 4,000 items in the first two expeditions alone including this anthracite which was recovered from the boiler. Encapsulated by CAG to a size of 2.375'' x 3.375''. RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner, operated by the White Star Line, which sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912 after striking an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, UK, to New York City, United States.
