Description
Manufactured in Belgium in 1954. Features 30" O/U barrels with twin bead sights on a ventilated rib. Choked full and improved modified with factory automatic ejectors and 2.75" chambers. Long tang serial number 39443, indicating 1954 production. Bottom right of the receiver is signed "Glimm Engr" by master engraver Jerome Glimm, member of the Engravers Guild of America. Deep relief floral engraving covers 98% of the action, forearm release and trigger guard. Floorplate has 98% coverage and retains factory "Browning" lettering. Single select trigger and automatic safety. Stocks are an updated 2X walnut with upgraded polished finish. Forearm is standard Browning dimensions with Browning checkering with wide 2.25" bottom, tapering up to the finger groove and then a flat top edge. Buttstock is 2X walnut with standard Browning dimensions and Browning checkering on the pistol grip. Pistol grip cap is black plastic with a white spacer. Buttpad has a whiteline spacer and a black Pachmayr pad. Modern day cost of this stunning engraving would be in excess of $10,000. CALIBER: 12 Gauge. S/N: 39443. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
Condition
Barrels retains 95% original blue with light dulling towards the muzzle. Stock retains 95% of reconditioned finish. Buttstock and forend have moderate wear with signs of field use. Good bores and mechanics.
