Description

Silver Box. Late 19th, early 20th century Austro-Hungarian .800 niello silver hinged box displaying a presumably gold inlaid fox surround by foliate and two ducks in flight. Underside is decorated with ivy leaves and a central monogram. Interior of box is stamped several times by Austro-Hungarian third standard Dianakopf mark signifying .800 silver. Total approx. weight of the box is 3.48 troy oz (gross). From a Manhattan, NY estate. Dimensions: box measures approx. 4" w x 2.5" d x 0.875" h.

Condition

Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Monogram to the underside. Enamel losses. Please examine the provided photos to thoroughly evaluate each piece.
