Rebecca Nichols Gray was born on June 8, 1781, in Fairfield County, Connecticut to John and Mary Nichols. She married Noah Robert Gray (1774-1857) on March 16, 1800, at the Fairfield Trinity Church. Together, the Grays had seven children and lived in Connecticut until at least 1810. By 1820, the family had relocated to Robert's hometown of Walton, Delaware, where Rebecca Gray died on May 21, 1852.
