1925 Thomas Paine Life & Works THOMAS EDISON edition Common Sense 10v SET
“Whatever is my right as a man is also the right of another.”
¬– Thomas Paine, Rights of Man
Thomas Paines political activism in the late 18th-century was vitally important to many of the successes of the American Revolution. He was responsible for some of the most important propaganda pamphlets at the start of the war which inspired American rebels in 1776. Common Sense alone is considered the all-time best American pamphlet, in fact, John Adams is known to have said “without the pen of the author of Common sense, the sword of Washington would have been raised in vain.
