Description
Very unusual and one of a kind cupboard. The single flat one board door was hand faux grain painted to look like a six panel door w/ stiles and rails. Provenance is from John Melby in Eastport Maine and he knows his cupboards. The yellow sizing underneath is because the grain paint has worn off to the original primer yellow sizing from peoples hands leaning up to that height on the cupboard. Just a fascinating piece of country furniture circa 1810. Measures 72.5 tall by 42 wide and 16 inches deep.
WHAT'S TO LOVE - Great wear and use patina.
