Fine Antique Chinese jade carved lidded vase. Rounded body leading to a thin waisted neck with Pixiu handles flanked at the sides, domed lid crowned with simply finial, raised on a flared foot base. The main decoration on the central body depicting an immortal riding an elephant within a forest landscape in shallow reliefs. The neck shows fine carving of characters script over finely polished surface. Jade is a pale-tan creamy color with attractive sporadic slight russet hues in varying spots over milky moist appearance surface.
