PROVENANCE:

William Worthing March (1940 - 2023) was the proud owner of a kennel club in Florida where he raised racing greyhounds in his early career. Later in life he became a jeweler and opened his own jewelry store. It was through this business that he was able to purchase from estates a collection of fine porcelains that have been consigned to us to sell at auction. During his career he had the opportunity to travel to many foreign countries also adding to his collection.

Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Famille Rose Flower Porcelain Goblet Vases. Potted in a traditional Gu shape. The beaker having baluster shaped body, with bulging belly, trumpet-shaped on the tall neck ,slightly flaring mouth rim, raised with high round flaring foot base, like reverse bowl with splayed foot base and slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and banded with arrays of tropical leaves patterns. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue square lines. Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
