Two American Tilt-Top Candlestands, Late 18th-Early 19th Century. Comprising a Queen Anne walnut candlestand and a Federal cherry candlestand, each having a dish-top.
Dimensions: Height of Chippendale table25 1/4in; diameter 21in; Height of Federal table 27 3/4in; diameter 19 1/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Princeton, New Jersey Collection.
Condition
Each table is structurally sound. Wear commensurate with age and use; shrinkage and age cracks. Each in an overall restored condition with small repairs and reinforcements. Typical marks, wear, nicks, scuffs and surface scratches overall.
