This painting appeared on page 89 of the April 1970 issue of Playboy magazine, illustrating an article by Josiah Lee Auspitz titled "For a Moderate Majority," with the caption, "The president of the progressive-republican ripon society foresees the emergence of a young elite whose political involvement will lead the nation toward a new pragmatic policy for the seventies and beyond."
