Ring Size 10.5 (x8), Antique Tibetan Bronze Dorje/Dorge Ring/Rings. I purchased about 50 of these in the 1990s from a woman. I was posted in Northern India in the Peace Corps in the late 1950s/early 1960s in the mountainous area where the Tibetan refugees were pouring out of Tibet and settling in refugee camps. Most of them left with the clothing on their backs and what they could carry. They would sell what they had to raise money. She reported that many of the adults she encountered were wearing one of these rings and that it was one of the things they were offering to sell. She bought as many as she could afford- mostly because she wanted to do what she could to help them in their desperate situation. She put them away in a drawer when she got home for over 35 years until she was downsizing to move to a retirement home. I've held onto the group for another 30 years and am downsizing as I retire. Now it's time to find them new homes. She obtained them 60 to 70 years ago, and at that point, they had significant wear from use and age, so I'm dating them at approximately 100 years old, maybe older. For some, we only have one in a given size. For others, we may have five or more. To keep it simple, unless different arrangements are made, we are selling the main ring shown in the photo.
