Very good condition.current ownerPrivate Collection, U.S.A.Officially employed as art director of the Jewish Chamber Music Theater in Moscow between 1976 and 1980, Vitaly Dlugy participated in all major non-conformist exhibitions in Moscow. In 1980, he was forced to emigrate to the United States where he resided in New York. Dlugy's work was returned to Russia for a personal exhibit in the Tretyakov Gallery in1994. His life and death inspired the critically acclaimed modernRussian novelist and short-story writer Ludmila Ulitskaya to write her popular novel The Happy Funeral (Veselie Pokhoroni), for which she was awarded the Penne Prize in 1997.
