FOUR BLUE AND WHITE WARES
Kangxi
Comprising a rosewater sprinkler of pear shape and painted in bright deep cobalt blue with pendant ruyi-shaped panels with reserve-decorated floral scrolls to the body, beneath a chevron and semi-flowerhead band below upright plantain leaves to the neck, a gilt-metal mount with domed cover, flame finial and chain at the rim, a yu (jade) mark to the base; a small wine or tea bowl and saucer, each painted with four lotus petals each enclosing an elegant lady seated on a garden terrace, the petal-form cartouches reserved against a diaper ground, the base of the cup with an encircled lingzhi mark, the saucer with an encircled conch mark; and a miniature slender gourd-shaped vase with underglaze-blue decoration, the glaze pooling to one side and fading to white at the mouth rim, supported on a slightly concave biscuit foot. Condition
Sprinkler: The gilt-metal mount, which may be contemporary with the vessel, is tightly secured to the neck and it is impossible to know if the neck rim is complete or not. Some wear and minor kiln imperfections but unobtrusive. Recommended.
Cup and saucer: The cup with small rim nibbles; the saucer with a small nibble.
Gourd vase: Generally, in good overall condition.
