Chinese 19th Century Red Brocade Side Button Gown lined in yellow silk with high slits to sides with 4 gilt bronze Court Buttons and 1 Silk knot button at neck, the brocade with floral roundels edged with brocade ribbons and embroidered borders of Rose Stems and Butterflies; the embroidered sleeve ends in cream silk embroidered inside. Height 53 1/4 inches (135 cm.) X width across sleeves 48 inches (122 cm.). NOTE: With 2 acquisition tags to lining from an unidentified collecting institution "AAM-Acc No 78-14-2."
