A LOUIS XVI STYLE GILTWOOD ONYX TOP CENTER TABLE, AFTER DESIGNS BY ADAM WEISWEILER (1744-1820), PROBABLY FRENCH, MID/LATE 19TH CENTURY, the turtle shape inset creamy green and russet variegated onyx top over a lamb's tongue carved edge above a waisted bombé flat skirt with applied gilt metal leafy Vitruvian scroll interspersed by rectangular blocks with applied ormolu floret, raised on leafy clad capitals on ring turned, fluted tapered legs, to rosette blocks on french toes to ball feet, joined by a curved stretchers and oval lozenge shelf centering an inset figural porcelain medallion. Height: 29 1/2" Width: 28 1/2" Depth: 19 3/4"
