Description
An antique late 19th Century to early 20th Century mixed metals saber sword produced for a United States Navy officer by N.S. Meyer (New York). A mixed metals blade with detailed engraved elements including botanical and scrolling designs, anchors, a shield with flag design, and U.S.N. initials. Bronzed metal hilt with serpent's head at thumb, gilded threading to textured white enameled handle grip, and United States eagle with encircling star pattern to pommel. Etched mark near hilt N.S. MEYER NEW YORK. Accompanied with fitted mixed media leather wrapped scabbard.

Dimensions: 35.5 X 5.5 X 3 in.

Condition: Good overall antique condition having mild age related surface wear and patina. Scabbard has mild age related surface wear and patina. Estate fresh to the market.
