An antique primitive Pre Columbian style two (2) piece cornmeal grinder set comprised of one (1) natural stone mano (the hand tool; Spanish for “hand”) and one (1) angled natural stone metate (the larger stone grinding surface), employed by tribal cooks for grinding corn before it was cooked. Mano measures approximately 9.5" x 2" x 2". Metate measures approximately 5.25" x 7.75" x 10.5".
Dimensions: 5.25 X 7.75 X 10.5 in.
Condition: Good overall condition having mild to moderate natural antique surface wear. Metate has a strip of gallery adhesive to the top surface. Estate fresh to the market.
