This is a very early form of advertising, where the store owner would create motion to garner a customer's attention. This wooden box contains two African American dancers on top, which are sitting on top of a mechanism below that - when wound - allows them to dance on top. CONDITION: An original wood box and original mechanism with a decal of a pretty lady on the front. The dolls are in original paint and with original clothing. It is possible that a hat for one of them could be missing. A very unusual store advertising piece. Condition: (Good) Dimensions: 10" x 6 1/2" x 4"
