Description

These early cast iron match holders with a ship's wheel gambling feature come in several different styles. This one shows cast dolphins or serpents on the cast iron base, with a picture of a young woman peeking from behind a curtain in the middle. The ship's wheel has a ball bearing inside of it, and when it spins it functions as a roulette wheel. There are several different games could be comprised of play. The middle portion is a match holder. CONDITION: It shows great patina to the aged cast iron, patina to the brass, with a slight dent in the ship's wheel. It is fully operational.
