Description
C. 1928, made by International Mutoscope Company. The highly embossed front aluminum casting on sheet metal body vending machine has a beautiful look with oxidized patina and original applied paint. This machine made for the circus and carnival markets worked by inserting a penny, turning the knob, and the inside windmill blades turn to scoop out candies or gumballs and drop them into the chute. CONDITION: It is showing a great patina to the original finish. No breaks or repairs, working perfectly. Referenced in "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 79. Includes key. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
