Description
C. 1910. Valda was created by French pharmacist Henri-Hedmond Canonnes, in 1904 to relieve cough and sore throat. This is one of 3 displays in this auction and this example is in remarkable condition, with wonderful graphics of an older gentleman flying a plane tipping his hat to the crowd. The clockwork operation has motion of the propeller and the tipping of the hat. Tin lithography on original wooden base with all original clockwork components. Translation to the advertising reads, "At full speed he brings the good medicine." CONDITION: It has light to moderate wear to the tin advertising, very consistent with age and use. It is showing light touch-up in the clouds and the tail of the plane. There is nothing offensive, with great color and light surface scratches. It is fully operational.
