Item Details
Description
Samuel Nafew manufactured and distributed several of the more interesting countertop trade stimulators at the turn of the century. This petite trade stimulator with ornate cast iron cabinet, upper marquee, and thick wooden base was distributed in 1894. A few of these machines had an odd unique feature where the bottom plate had to be removed to get the coins. This example has had the plate removed and it was mounted to a wood box with a drawer to get the coins. This was a factory change, probably due to complaints by the operators. CONDITION: All original components and aged patina. It retains the original poker cards and is fully operational. No breaks, cracks or repairs. Condition: (Very Good) Dimensions: 9" X 13" X 16"
