A brass signalling or saluting cannon, late 18th to early 19th century, the tapering and reeded barrel inscribed 'quantum momentish im levibi stormhentis M.G.M.Q.C.U.E.', below a crest with a hand with two fingers raised, below an indistinct moto, complete with an oak bung, raised on oak carriage with copper bound wheels, cannon 86cm total including carriage 100cm Condition Report: Overall good order. Doesnt appear to be any damage, over time it has been over polished which has affected the readability of the inscriptions. Gauge is approximately 40mm.
