The gown has sheer sleeves and neckline, shoulder pads, and detailed ornate beading throughout. The gown comes with a notarized letter of provenance from famed Hollywood hairstylist Sydney Guilaroff, who did hair for Raquel Welch for films and for personal appearances in Los Angeles. The letter states in part, "Raquel gave me this long sleeve teal colored heavy beaded gown with open back and illusion lace chest area with silver beaded highlights and shoulder pads around 1985. No one has worn it since Raquel." Sydney Guilaroff was a hair stylist during Hollywood's Golden Age who was the first to receive on-screen credit in films. He worked for more than forty years at the Metro Goldwyn Mayer studios on more than a thousand films, and was instrumental in crafting many of the hairstyles which became the signature looks for numerous film stars. Guilaroff was a friend, stylist, and confidante to many Golden Age stars including Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn.
