The bill is postmarked on the verso from its first day of issue April 13,1976. Miller's play, "Death of a Salesman" (1949) is considered one of the finest American plays of the 20th century. Arthur Miller married Marilyn Monroe in 1956 during a point in her career when she was trying to be accepted seriously by the critics, and although she loved Miller and even converted to Judaism for him, their marriage ended in divorce in 1961.
