Description
19th century Chinese famille rose porcelain planter. A jardiniere cache pot depicting a Lohan and other figures among rocks, and two figures referencing a classical Chinese story. Similar to some straits Chinese palette works in the Peranakan ware. From the Tongxi period.

Condition
There are several large cracks along the exterior of the planter, several of which intersect at one point, as a product of being broken into multiple pieces. Evidence of enamel loss along cracks as a result of restoration. There is minor chipping along the exterior rim as well as scratches and minor imperfections throughout the mid- to upper area of the planter. There is also evidence of glaze flaking. Towards the bottom third of the interior of planter, there is no glaze at all and significant wear.
