Description
American Brilliant cut glass ice cream tray. Cut by Libbey in their very rare Columbia pattern. This pattern was designed by W.C. Anderson for Libbey and patented on February 14, 1893. It was exhibited at the World's Fair Columbian Exposition in Chicago. There are very large hobstars around the rim that have large protruding buttons. The center is cut with vesicas outlined with clear tusks giving the appearance of a large flower. This tray is a fabulous example of one of the rarest cut patterns by Libbey. Photo shows a wine stem for size comparison only and the wine is not included in the sale. Ca. 1900

Great condition. No chips or cracks. Sterling is also in great condition.
