Spine with 5 raised bands, title lettered in gilt on red morocco label in 2nd compartment, remaining decorated with blind motifs. Decorative tissue endpapers. Top edges darker. Illustrated with 25 plates (index lists 24 numbered plates, but does not number 2nd plate listed in index: "Telemachus and Mentor arriving at the Island of Calypso," at pg. 6), including folding map and frontispiece of Salignac.
