Valerio Belli (1468 - 1546) was a celebrated Italian gem engraver who specialised in rock crystal and engraved dies for struck medals which often depicted processional scenes inspired by antiquity and dynamic scenes from the life of Christ. There is an intaglio attributed to Valerio Belli on British Museum collection, nº WB.86. Ring circumference: 53,1 mm. Intaglio measures: 2.1 x 1.7cm.
