Description

Circa 1825, Washington County, Georgia. Very ovoid bulbous jar with nicely placed handles and tooled rim. One handle impressed with roman numeral V at the top of the handle. The glaze is a nice rich alkaline. The piece has some wear to the rim and underside of handles consistent with age and use, no restorations, cracks or hairlines. H15" W14" Sold from the collection of a Charleston, South Carolina gentleman.
