Photograph Richard Barthlemess, black and white photography by Elmer Fryer, Hollywood. Promotional photograph for the 1930 movie 'The Dawn Patrol', costarring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Blind stamp lower left of photographer. In black wood frame. an American film actor, principally of the Hollywood silent era. He starred opposite Lillian Gish in D. W. Griffith's Broken Blossoms (1919) and Way Down East (1920) and was among the founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1927. The following year, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for two films: The Patent Leather Kid and The Noose.
Measurements: Approx: 9.75 x 11.75 inches; frame 10.75 x 12.625 inches Condition: Photograph in very good apparent condition, not removed from frame. Small closed tear on left, very short crease left center. Frame has some dings, scratches.
