Description
Marc Chagall (1887-1985) original, limited edition color lithograph. It is titled Tribe of Simeon. It was originally printed in 1962 by Andre Sauret in Monte Carlo. Chagall created this composition in preparation for his stained-glass windows at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center Synagogue in the hills of Jerusalem. There is a different design for each of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. It is matted and framed under glass in a simple wooden frame. With frame, it measures 12.5 inches x 15.5 inches. This piece was acquired from a Metro Washington DC area., 12.5IN x 15.5IN (32cm x 39cm), LOT REF #24-226
